Preschool Development Manager - Bachelor of Teaching (Birth to 5 Years)

I have worked at Cooma North Preschool for 22 years and I love the relationships and connections I have made over the years. My early childhood passion is being an advocate for children and families, promoting reconciliation between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People and non-Indigenous Australians, and leading this dedicated team.

On a personal note I enjoy travel and spending time with family, friends and fur babies. I look forward to spending time with my young granddaughter.

I have had the pleasure of working at the preschool for the past 18 years in an administrative role. During my time here I have felt privileged to be a part of a not for profit organisation that gives back to its community, growing and evolving, and always putting the children at the fore front of every decision that is made.

It is wonderful to work with an inspiring group of women who take immense pride in their profession and the contribution we are making to the children and families of our community.

I enjoy meeting and connecting with new and returning families and forming friendships with them that continue beyond their preschool years.

I live on a rural property in the Cooma area with my husband and 3 daughters - my very own version of “McLeods Daughters”. I enjoy gardening, cooking and spending time with family and friends.

I have worked in the Early childhood field since finishing Year 12 in 1990.

I am married with 3 daughters. I love the ocean and sea breezes. Whales are my favourite animal, I love doing cross-stitch kits and I love music!!!

One of my all time favourite activities to do with children is reading stories and watching their faces and engagement with the storyline. I also enjoy engaging in messy play and science experiments with the children and observing them explore, experiment and learn. Working in Early childhood is very rewarding with no one day ever the same.

Educator - Diploma in Children’s Services

I have worked in the Early Childhood sector for 17 years and absolutely love everything I do, I love getting creative with the children and watching them learn before my eyes, I think it's just magical.

I have a beautiful family my husband and daughter are everything to me and we just love to head to the coast to explore and experience new adventures, weather it be kayaking, fishing, exploring the beach or travelling I love it all.

I have worked at Cooma North Preschool since 2016. I love working with Preschool children and find it very rewarding! I love building relationships with children and being a part of their journey as they grow and learn. I especially enjoy watching children's wonder and interest in nature and the world around them and love to support them to explore all aspects of nature and this amazing world we live in!

I like to spend time reading a good book, trying out new cafés for coffee, watching a good movie and getaways to Sydney to watch a show or Broadway musical. I especially enjoy spending quality time with my husband and two daughters. We love to go bush walking, getting out in the garden and travelling together as a family.

Jamie joined our team in Term 3 2024. She brings her happy and bubbly personality to work with her every day.

Jamie lives in Cooma with her partner and twin girls, and is an active member of LAOKO.

Educator - Certificate III Childrens Services

I have worked in the early childhood sector for 7 years and love being able to spend time with children of all ages and helping them grow into beautiful individuals. I am certificate lll qualified and really enjoy my job.

I love spending my time with my family on outings out and about or even at home. My daughter enjoys dancing and I love watching her perform. She is just amazing and loves to dance she’s always playing music and tapping her feet to songs she will hear whether it’s at home or in the shops.

I have been working in the Early Childhood sector for almost 15 years and I have been working at Cooma North Pre School since August 2021.

I love being part of the community, using the training and knowledge I have in education to support children by personalising activities based on interests to promote children’s individualism and wholeness.

I enjoy photography and taking day trips in my spare time. I love having fun with the Cooma North Pre School team who have a passion for learning while having fun and building meaningful relationships with children and the community.

I was born in Cooma and completed year 12 at Monaro High School. I moved away for some time but have now returned to my home town.

I have worked in early childhood Education for approximately 25 years and have experience in different age groups and childcare settings but my favourite has always been working in the Preschool environment. I love the funny conversations that you have with Preschool children, being a part of their learning and watching their sense of accomplishment when they master a task.

I have three boys of my own, and enjoy spending time with them. I also like walking my dog, scrapbooking, photography, and watching movies.

I am excited to be part of the Cooma North Preschool Team.

After some time away from the preschool Molly returned to us in July 2024.

Molly currently works Tuesday to Friday and mostly in our Maneroo Room.

I have been working in the early childhood sector for 2 years and have my certificate 3.

I am passionate about children’s health and safety and ensuring all children feel comfortable and secure in their surroundings.

I like to have fun, be silly and make people laugh, nothing warms my heart more than hearing children giggling.

I am married with 3 children, we love exploring new places, nature walks, our edible garden and spontaneous home discos!

Matilda joined our team in 2024 in a Traineeship position. She has completed her Certificate III in Children’s Services in July 2025.

Matilda brings a kind and nurturing nature to her everyday interactions with the children and is a valued member of our team.

Jackie has worked in the Early Childhood Education and Care sector for many years, and brings a wealth of experience to her role here at Cooma North Preschool.

Jackie often mentors other staff and has beautiful relationships with the children and families.

This year, 2025, Jackie is the Educational Leader at the preschool.

Tyler joined the Cooma North Preschool team in 2024, she is a kind and friendly educator who had already built connections and relationships with the children and families through her work in other local Early Childhood Education and Care services.
